I happened to catch one of the PBS Nova episodes on string theory the other night. It was the third part of a series of shows titled "The Elegant Universe." Seeing as how I love that kind of stuff and we don't have cable at the house, this was quite a treat. After the show, Doug pointed out the fact that PBS has all of the shows available on their website.
I checked it out and found that PBS has a good amount of stream-able content on their site. The streaming NOVA shows even have hyper-links during the show that link to more articles, interactive demos, and people's Bio info. Really cool stuff.
Here are the NOVA shows. I'm still looking through the PBS site for some more streaming content.
Doug and I watched K-PAX the other night on DVD. I am still amazed by Kevin Spacey. He's been one of my favorite actors ever since I saw him in The Usual Suspects (back in tenth grade, Mr. Fay's class.) It also stars Jeff Bridges who is best known in my house for his role as the Dude. I really enjoyed the movie and especially got into the distinct differences between Prot's (Spacey) home planet and our's.
